Puerto Vallarta

We took a bus to old town from the resort for about 15 peso to the Marina area (Wal-Mart) and then transferred to another bus for another to take us down town and the El Malecon. (it took about 45-50 mins)

I love this place ....... The place is so charming, and the history of this town is captivating. Puerto Vallarta is a lovely village, located on the Mexican Pacific coast, and lies on Banderas Bay, the largest natural bay in Mexico. The mountains that tower behind with lush tropical jungles that extend to the beach give this place a feel that there is nothing beyond those mountains. Great dinning, excellent shopping and calm golden beaches line up the vibrant seafront main boulevard known as El Malecon. The traditional old world colonial style village offers a fabulous array of luxury accommodations.
The streets of the town are still paved with cobblestones. Open air markets are filled with handicrafts, and quaint white-washed homes with red tiled roofs and iron balconies still tumble down the steeps, palm-covered hills as they have for decades.
Notre Damre of Guadeloupe church. A remarkably old building of the city.

There is so much to see and do here, stroll down the El Malecon boardwalk and watch the local create unbelievable sandcastles that stand 10 ‘ high, check out all the unique statues, eat at one of the thousand of restaurants or shop at the many stores or flea market

The Beach is long and wide but the water on the south side of the pier is not safe for anyone and should be avoided, but on the north side of the pier it is good to swim
Restaurants - El Torito for 2 for 1 ribs, melt in your mouth ribs,  finger licking good!
Roberto's steak and lobster was very good as well all you can eat large shrimp and pick your own steak & seafood combo.

San Marino Hotel

San Marino Hotel -All Inclusive hotel which is located right on the beach, it has 2 pools, a small select of loungers on the beach with about 15 umbrellas, it is a 2 star very basic but location is very good, I visited a basic room  that was located on the end of the building and had a great ocean view, and the pier out front, with a terrace, a 1 king size bed, dresser, bath with shower, very basic white. The courtyard is nice and they were decorating and setting up for a Mexican fiesta night

Posada Rio Cuale Hotel

Posada Rio Cuale Hotel, a small family owned hotel located in the heart of old town, with 20 suites, with Le Gourmet Restaurante,  beautiful court yard, and pool. All rooms have AC, cable TV, bathroom with shower, living room with either 1 king bed and cot or 2 queen. Very quaint Mexican feel
