The main islands

Tortola - The largest island in the BVI, Tortola offers a variety of exciting vacation possibilities.

Virgin Gorda - The third largest island of the BVI, Virgin Gorda measures eight and a half square miles.

Jost Van Dyke - Although it measures just four miles by three, with the highest point at 1,054 feet, Jost Van Dyke has fewer than 200 inhabitants, and they are widely known as a welcoming people.

Anegada -The only coral island in the volcanic BVI chain, Anegada measures 11 miles by three, its highest point is just 28 feet above sea level.

Other Islands - Scattered in an aquamarine sea, the British Virgin Islands flank the broad Sir Francis Drake Channel, which has beguiled sailors for centuries with scalloped coves and good anchorages. There are over 60 islands in all, whose names reflect their colourful past.

Wedding Dreams Come True

 

The upscale British Virgin Island boast as exclusivity that immediately sets the tone for a sophisticated beach wedding. BVI is also one of the top diving and sailing destination in the Caribbean, offering plenty of diversions for wedding groups.
The beach at Nanny Cay on Tortola's South SHore can set up with tents and twinkle lights, decorated with bougainvillea and palms for an elegant setting. Other possibilities include: Trellis Bay, the beautiful calm bay beach of Cane Garden Bay Beach, and resorts on Lambert Beach and Long Bay Beach.

 


 

Requirements
* The BVI's residency period is three business days, and couples must apply for their licence in person at the Registrar General's Office in Road Town, Tortola. Couples must schedule an appointment for the date and time of marriage.  Applications are process in three days. Couples must have valid passports, proof of marital status $110 (in BVI postage stamps) for a special licence for those residing in the BVI for 3 days or $50(in BVI postage stamp) for those residing for 15 days or more.

2 witness must go to the Registrar General for the signing of the license application and 2 witness must be present at the marriage ceremony.

The current fees are $35 for church marriages and $100 for all other marriages.
